Ever get hungry sitting in the middle of a funeral, but you would feel to guilty to just get up and head off to the local McDonald's? Well, search no further. We've taken the traditional floral arrangements that sit atop the coffin and replaced it with a hearty, critically-acclaimed twenty-three course buffet! Yes, we WERE able to fit that much food on top of Uncle George! Everything you need to mourn the loss of a loved one in style.

At least clean-up is a breeze.

       you bored phoenix????

I've often thought, could I annotate every idea on the 1/2B? On-topic, funeral buffets are pretty baked, admittedly not in church, but surreptitious eating in church is also baked. Making the spread more copious might get in the way of the hymn-singing.

Not looking to annotate every idea, but I'm trying to vote on every one. Lots of catching up to do.
phoenix, Dec 06 2001

That depends if you're burying or cremating. Think of all the pollutants in the packaging going up in smoke/down to feed the worms. Or the waste of good china (maybe that's where china clay comes from?)

I'm riding the [random] button a lot myself, but I'm finding most of the ideas have been left to die in peace for a reason.

       SOYLENT GREEN IS PEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEOPLE!

If you have leftovers after the buffet..would you ask the funeral director for a "body bag" to take em home in?
Ala, Jan 19 2002

Most Funeral homes have showroom samples of coffins.

Just use one of those for your feast. No need for the deceased to be in the coffin.

Maybe the deceased can be in a chair, if the body can just flex a bit. Sunglasses on the body will keep you from looking into the dead eyes while eating.

Way back in 2K, [jeneliyan] established a presence here, created this and two other food/drink oriented ideas, and then promptly vanished without annotating or further ideas.

[ ] Might be appropriate for one of those piano-box sized coffins: the deceased would appreciate the smorgasbord.

link flagged as inappropriate. If you want to stalk her [norm], just e-mail her.

You're funny. A search for [jeneliyan] yielded:

       " About 96 results (0.29 seconds)

       Did you mean: genelia "

of which this is the seventh from the top.

_I'm_ funny ? If she wanted personal info linked (assuming that's her: want me to go check ? she's only a few hundred miles away), she'd have it on her account page.
FlyingToaster, Feb 10 2015

       Oh.

       You mean you're SERIOUS that:

       1) There's only one person using that name in the world
2) That I found that person with a simple search for that name
3) That linking to a public posting put up on the web asking people to rate the poster's appeal might be harassment or worse?

Wow. Well, if you're willing to go talk to her about it, it would be interesting to know her opinion.

Me, I'm just drawing a line between two only vaguely connected dots in the internet for humorous purposes.
normzone, Feb 11 2015

I knew a lady who was so big she had to be buried in a piano crate. Sigh.

Feel free to explain how posting another site member's personal information without their consent, or any justification other than ? (do tell), is anything but creepy.
FlyingToaster, Feb 11 2015

       Okay. Here's where we'll start.

I copy your user name [Flying Toaster], and paste it into google.

Google tells me that SOMEBODY has absolutely zero problems littering the interweb with that moniker via widely known sites such as Wikipedia, YouTube, Instructables, Twitter, and some other site I'm not familiar with called Wowhead.

So I think it's safe to say that that person doesn't have much concerns about that data being closely held. Check out [normzone] and you'll see the things I don't think require hiding in my associations.

I appreciate your good intents, if that's what they are, but I don't think this qualifies as stalking any more than reposting a link to a news article on CNN would.
