Some ugly billboards could be replaced with giant, shiny, faux fridges in white, black, chrome or pastels. Temporary street spam backed with large magnets could be slapped on and later peeled off with crowbars. Think a huge, pink piggy face in plastic relief with the text Steamin Tennessee Trotters,
last chance for 50 miles!
Also hotel mini-bars could be plastered with tiny magnetic or sticky buttons holding notes like, Im Carla, and Im your maid for the day - 50% of my pay is made up of tips and a 2 x 3 inch finger painting by Carlas son.

If the "fridge" and the "magnet" were
big enough, gravitational forces would
stick them together. |
How would you stick a magnet on a street wall?
Wouldnt it be too expensive?
How would you recycle these things?
Not usable enough!
The idea needs to be stickier to catch on. |

I thought this was a rather silly idea
until UnaBubba showed me this
awesome application. + |

Alternate consequence: The idea catches on and every billboard in the world changes over to this design. Then one day an iron cored meteor 6 miles wide , that normally would have passed harmlessly by... |
Then those who don't agree with the message can obstruct various, important parts of the sign using metal scraps and old lisence plates. |

...the billboards cause a subtle shift of Magnetic North. It now locates itself in Wauskegon, Michigan and the poor hamlet is overrun with Norwegians planting flags. |
I pictured using an electromagnet with a coathook on it. Put as many as you want on your fridge and hang stuff on them. Including coats. |
It would certainly solve the mystery, when you discover, again, that your credit card has lost its magnetism, and the incredulous people at the bank ask you ...'have you had it close to any magnets?..'. |
And ditto for hard drives. |
