Where I live, one frequently sees young guys on street corners, holding large rectagular signs advertising a business or apartments for rent. Some just hold the signs, but the good ones are a pleasure to watch - they twirl the signs, throw them in the air, roll them down their backs, etc. The link I found does not do these guys justice - they are real street performers. .

But I have never seen two of these guys fighting it out with their signs. I think that would really draw spectators (and business) - in addition to their solo maneuvers these guys would carry out stylized kendo duels with their signs. One could also make slipon sign edges such that when they struck the other sign sparks would fly.

It's bound to happen - you're right about the most creative of these people being very entertaining.

Perhaps they could also compete to see who looks the coldest, poorest, forlornest and most miserable.

Most people do'nt know why those guys are there in the first place. In certain areas (Canada), business's are not permitted to have stattic permanent signs, but because these guys are mobile they are allowed to advertise on the sidewalk(footpath). You've got my vote.

there was a guy doing this for a place for months in my town. He would dance up and down the street rain or shine in a sign suit, but I am sure he would be a heck of a flipper. I went to sea for 8 months came back and hes gone. that saddens me. Its great entertainment while waiting in trafic. Go "1/2 off Matress Guy" Go!
