fish have a memory spane of 3 seconds....everything seams endless for them |
Uuum, where does it go for the other 2025 minutes a day? |
How does this work? I see: |
//Endless Pool// in the title
//Endless Pool// in the 'sub-title'
//Endless Pool// in the explaination. |
But no description of how it works?! |
Unless it's just too long for the fish to swin in 15 minutes, so it feels endless. |
I assume you want a little coffee cup sized pool that has a recycle system in it so water constantly flows in one direction. |
Right. So you put your fish in a seperate tank for fifteen minutes to swim for exercise. What's he doing in his other tank all day? Sitting in an armchair in the corner with his slippers on trying fruitlessly to light his pipe? |
measure the fish's mph speed, multpily by 3 seconds, and there you have the length of the endless swimming pool |
[miggavin] could have saved himself so much grief and probably garnered 7 more positive votes had he only provided a thoughtful link to the current-generating exercise spa pools marketed by Endless Pools (tm). [link] |

A small endless pool? Size seems oxy-moronic when teamed with infinity. |
Fish don't need exercise. If yours gets too fat, you can just deepfry it and have it for lunch. |
(plus, the article's a little too brief). - |
When it comes to lunch, no fish is too fat. |
I've thought of the endless fish tank. |
My thoughts wandered into the water flow & fishual visuals. |
Have You ever read about Otto? |
If you've got the space & dedication to keep a cichlid or two, you might know that fish are ..... |
I've often wondered, wandered, daydreamed, and such & such about a tank that could satisfy a large fish in a tank that was not large enough. |
The weight of the tank on the 2nd floor is a meaningfull consideration. |
If a relatively large fish (cichlidae or comparative) could be kept happily in a tank that employed water jets & changing scenery based upon the mean old pet's intended direcion of travel, A happier situation for all might result? |
Train 'em to eat from your hand, but just piss 'em off once & see what happens. |
Hey, diddle, diddle.
The cat and the fiddle.
The cow jumped over the bank.
The little dog laughed to see such fun,
And the fish ran away with the tank. |

Goldfish having a 3 second memory is an urban myth.... |
And here I thought lots of us watched Mythbusters. They kind of showed that goldfish have a longer memory by training them to swim through a simple maze. But I still don't think a fish need an endless pool. I mean it's not like their tanks are only slightly bigger than they are, they can just do laps. |
