As grade school kids, we took an old gas station bell hose we
found and ran it across the street in front of our house and put
a wooden box over one end with a porcelin light bulb fixtue and
bulb on top. People stopped that were afraid to drive over it. |

As a kid, my cousin and I would each take a stance across the road from each other. We pretended we were holding some type of (invisible) wire or rope. The cars would slow down and stop and we would run off, laughing. I guess I've been a halfbaker most of my life. (I imagine I'll still be one in my rocking chair, too.) |
