This one's probably baked but I haven't found its precedent yet so here goes...
Add a Java drawing area to the Halfbakery "new idea" form. When a picture is worth a thousand words, you can illustrate your idea with a brutally simple vector drawing tool. The diagrams are then saved on the server
in scalable vector graphics (SVG) format and displayed whenever someone views your idea text.
The drawing area will have a frame that looks like the fringes of a cocktail napkin or the back of an envelope, to hint exactly what quality of illustration we expect from you.
One advantage of making the user draw the picture himself is it inhibits the uploading of pornography.

Some people already do this by linkin got their own web space. Check out Farmer John. |

And I have web space that I post my own drawings on ... |
|
|
Far better to allow fixed width font and ASCII art. Either that, or you could post instructions like Line (1,1)-(2,1)-(2,2)-(1-2), and people could draw along at home. |

i dont really care who origenally claims this idea but its a good one. for those of us who dont have the time, moeny, and or skill to own and keep up a webpage were we can post pictures this would be very convienant. its you tech savvy aristocracy of HB that are keeping us down! |
|
|
Maybe UB could pay you to draw his? |

"time, moeny [sic], and or skill to own and keep up a webpage" With the free webspace providers (all I use) and the "builder" software they offer (which I don't use 'cuz basic HTML is so simple), time would be the only objection left. |

//Then again, I find that I can usually express in words almost anything I would draw.// |
