Clever Clogs are a pair of powered shoes, that sit together but are joined with simple levers enabling them to carry out some basic movements, such as walking around - they are not intended to be worn, and they don't look like clogs - that's just the marketing name.
Clever Clogs are a combination
of two technologies: mechanically powered movement and smart internet enabled technology. The mechanical movement is manifest in the ability of the paired clogs to "walk" about or tap out a consistent rhythm when placed on a suitable surface. The smart technology consists of them being internet connected so that voice instructions can be delivered, understood and a response generated.
They are therefore able to carry out the correct movements on receiving commands such as "Clever Clogs - walk around slowly in a circle 10 feet in diameter for 5 minutes" or "Clever Clogs - make the sounds of a tap-dance from any Fred Astaire film" or "Clever Clogs - walk backwards and forwards on this wooden floor covered with peanut shells"
Multiple pairs of Clever Clogs can carry out choreographed or formation movements, and also generate complex soundscapes.
Delux Clever Clogs are equipped with an additional leaping ability, so they can jump over low level obstacles and have a kicking action.
