Chindogu Bun

Like a Croissant but totally pointless

When you want to bun some one (or Croissant as they say in Paris). But you just can't seem to find a good reason for the idea. It's not that the idea is "Bad science" but that it just doesn't seem to serve any sensible purpose.   I think this idea is a perfect example of where you might want to select a Chindogu Bun.

Chindogu is a © trade mark etc.. All rights Reserved etc.. Chin is Japanese for "weird" & Dogu is Japanese for "tool" (Chin not to be confused with the other more offensive Japanese translation of Chin)

Is this an idea? Or are you just trying to explain why you vote a particular way?

Sorry PainO, but this would undermine one of the best parts of the halfbakery. The fact that you can only give a thumbs up or a thumbs down. There are countless ideas here which should have been [m-f-d]'d for many, many reaons at once, but have instead harvested croissants a-plenty because they have that "I don't know why but I like it" X-factor. Bun or bone? Bone.

There's supposed to be a point to our ideas?

If you like an idea, vote +. If you feel the need to justify your vote, you can do that in an annotation. I don't remember ever seeing any rules about valid + or - voting reasons.

I like the recursive nature of this idea.

It's interesting that a site that runs largely on useless ideas eschews such features. I guess it's a metaphor for life; it's fine to have lots of extraneous things, just don't allow yourself to be defined by them.

I am honoured by such a quick and thorough response. Sadly it appears that my idea like all good Chindogu should never have made it past the drawing board. Keep the Bones coming, lets see if we can get 10 fish....

Chindogu are responsible for the heartbreak that comes when I dream up a great idea, only to find out the next day that Chindogu had already invented it.

Damn some one has spited me with a bun!

I think that calls for the sepiku ritual.

I cannot bare the shame. Stand back I have a Grissini and I am not afraid to use it.
