I don't know why anyone thinks standing desks are a good idea. But if that's what the office provides this might make it acceptable.
You can bounce around as you work. Fall over backwards. Get the weight off your feet.
Productivity is enhanced as the elastic gently pulls you back to your work station.
Improved safety as falling asleep or feinting harm is mitigated.
