Everyone LOVES bass, that's a fact. Now when you're lying in bed listening to, say Born Slippy, you simply require the bass line to reverberate through your entire body. The only way I can conceive of making this happen is to use a large bass speaker as the base of your bed. Put a mattress on top and you are "sorted".

Mr. Bass Man, you've got that certain somethin'
Mr. Bass Man, you set that music thumpin'
To you it's easy when you go 1-2-3,

It don't mean a thing when the lead is singin'
Or when he goes "Hi-yi-yi-yi-yi-yah"
Mr. Bass Man, I'm askin' just one thing:
Will you teach me? Yeah, the way you sing?
'Cause Mr. Bass Man, I wanna be a bass man too,
de de be bop-a-bop
(Bass voice: Try this, be be BOP-p-p-bop bop bop...)

Mr. Bass Man, I think I'm really with it
B-did-did-a-boom-boom,
a-boom-boom-be dit-dit-dit-dit
Oh, Mr. Bass Man, now I'm a bass man too,
de de be bop-a-bop
(Bass voice: That's it, be be BOP-p-p-bop bop bop...)

good lord, I'd get NO sleep.
po, Oct 30 2004

po, I'm -> <- that close to deleting your annotation... you should know how I feel about songs. However, live and let live. But that solitary croissant had better be from you ;)
lubbit, Oct 30 2004

       it is

and writing a song under the new rules is not easy!

hey <pouts> I did it especially for you...

whats with you and songs? you got no soul?
po, Oct 30 2004

Soul? Actually, no. & I don't believe in The Big Ghost In The Sky neither.
lubbit, Oct 31 2004

Mark King slap bass: good for funking.
Ling, Oct 31 2004

And what rules may they be [po]?
wagster, Oct 31 2004

//new rules// is most probably wrong; but all those B-dit-dit-a-boom-boom-bom etc got a pop-up warning about page size. which is a good thing if it stops people screwing with the page view.
po, Oct 31 2004

He likes bass, but not songs. Interesting.
waugsqueke, Oct 31 2004

And that's why techno was invented.
wagster, Oct 31 2004

[po] - if I ever get around to doing a song, I doubt the size of it would be the first thing to draw criticism.
