Half a croissant, on a plate, with a sign in front of it saying '50c'

This would work fine, except in terms of success.

In your word processor, click the "Switch To Homonyms" button to have words replaced by similar sounding words with different meanings.

There might be many reasons why this could be useful and I'd be happy to hear them. Leave that up the eggheads in marketing.

I had a friend who we always thought was a bit of a homonym. We used to teas him mercilessly.

       him... hymn shirley?

Wondering if this could serve as a good CAPTCHA replacement or if it would just be easily fooled by a homonym cross-reference dictionary-style attack.

       jard two reed?

I kinda do this already by accident. Everything anybody has ever said to me that sounds like other words has to scroll through all of the possible meanings of all of the same sounding words until I can pick out the meaning of what is being said by the context of the rest of the words.

       Sometimes hilarity ensues.
Sometimes it's crickets and tumbleweeds.
Sometimes it's gold.

Haven't quite figured out a way to turn it into a buck yet other than maybe stand-up comedy...
...and somehow winning poetry contests I never entered.

An app might be just the ticket though. (+)

Duh, can't believe I missed the "read/reed" thing there. Thanks 2.
