Drop into a gov't office (that's set up to register votes), show ID and cast a ballot, at your convenience, any time. Change your mind ? go back and change your vote.
Every <term of office> the state of the ballot-database determines which candidate gets to show up for work the next morning, and
which one finds their stuff dumped on the lawn.
---
• The most recent vote, whether made a few minutes or decades ago, is the one that counts.
• ballots are for a party, or an individual candidate(unaligned or aligned)
• votes are only valid while the candidate or party continues to run in the riding and the voter is deemed resident. The voter can void the ballot as well (ie: 'undecided')

[+] I would go many steps further and have a political discussion forum where those with the highest rated ideas, depending on their interest, run government when the reigns change hands. |
|

I'd also have the highest rated ideas become larger referendums. |

it. |

Why not just have an election that goes on for two days or so giving people more time to vote? |
