This is not necessarily a compliment, but this is the most rational idea you have posted here recently. |

Americans seem to love Israel. I'm not sure why we don't give some natives a very large cash payout for their reservation and then move Israel to America. They can build a new Jerusalem in the best-protected part of the world and leave the desert to the Palestinians. Everybody wins. At least unless there are new illegal settlements around New Israel. |

The US even has lots of experience dealing with internal mini-nations. |

3000 years in Jerusalem, and there through the end of
time. Fuck off |

Pretty much the entire problem can be summed up as "Two major religious groups with a long history of emnity (Despite worshipping the same Abrahamic deity) each want sole possession of a few hundred square metres of otherwise unremarkable real estate". |

Oh, and sp.: "heroin"; "Claus". |

I think he's referring to Erich Herion of Bad Cannstatt, Stuttgart, the noted manufacturer of valves? |

On their website timeline it says "1944 - Stoppage of work due to total destruction". |
Pah! In the East End, in 1944, they had steelworkers shaping components for munitions with their teeth after their factory, homes and legs had been destroyed in the blitz. Many of the dead refused to be buried, and insisted instead on turning up for work as usual. |

It may have been beneficial for the war effort, but it was a long time ago - and it was only because they'd been knocked out by bomb blasts and were suffering from severe concussion; they were bewildered and disorientated and didn't know what they were doing, hence the phrase "The Good Old Daze ..." |

I've been like that since 1962, and I can thoroughly recommend it. |

Now, if it was Father Abraham vs Santa Claus... |
I vote we put the Kurds in charge of everything between
the Med and India. They seem to be the
most rational bunch of the lot. |
"The Santa Clause" was a movie. Or did you mean Claus? |
"There ain't no Sanity Clause !" |
He was talking about Herione and Hairy Poter. |

It seems JC's HB post was the inspiration for the now famous
videos. (see link) |

Or better yet, the Kardashians. |

I have nothing useful to contribute here, but I wanted to put in a "Cardassian" comment before [8th] does. |

Bastard. We'll get you for that. |

Pah. You'd never get past the intercalary. He's on a Kir bender at the moment, and should not be approached by anything with an orifice. |
He's STILL swilling the stuff ? But he was already sozzled on it when we arrived for the Christmas holidays .... that's nearly two full weeks now. Is he ingesting it, has he rigged an IV from the semibulk, or is it ... oh no. Not that. Not the p.a. thing. That is SO gross. If he ends up like another Michael Warner ... eeewwwww .... |
The intercalary is a traditionalist, and only drinks his drinks. And "two full weeks" is really just enough to get started. He spent 1974-1978 in a state of near-inflammability. |
