How to accessorize a natty black leather jacket, blue jeans and a chest wig the size of Texas?
The Knight Rider Belt contains a couple of watch batteries which power the familiar red lights that sweep Cylonesquely across its unapologetically naff faux leather surface.
A natty conversation starter, literally in fact, if purchased with the optional extra KITT voice synthesiser that will issue one of a (limited) number of pre-programmed (if slightly camp) witticisms at the push of a button.-- zen_tom, Oct 27 2005 Talking Tool Belt http://www.target.c...ef=tgt_adv_XSG10001Hey, it's not a Knight Rider Belt, but it does say five different things at the push of a button, and it is pretty much guaranteed to start a conversation when worn in public with the rest of the Bob the Builder Deluxe kit. [jurist, Oct 27 2005] LED Belt buckle http://www.zymetric...m/product.asp?3=881For you, [carpeliam]. [DeliveranceRiverBoatCaptain, Feb 07 2006] William Daniels is probably still available to do the KITT recordings if you act soon.-- jurist, Oct 27 2005 Kraftwerk have the tie version of this, with lights on the vertical, for lives shows and, presumably, wowing the ladies.-- calum, Oct 27 2005 i know i've seen this around, or at least a belt that has words that scroll by in red letters... i'll keep looking for the link.-- carpeliam, Feb 07 2006 I found your link, [carpeliam].
[linky]-- DeliveranceRiverBoatCaptain, Feb 07 2006 <Adds // Cylonesquely // to personal vocabulary, and resolves to work it into next conversation.>-- coprocephalous, Feb 07 2006 Until now I never realised KITT was a reference to the HAL9000... Or is it not?
And the Cylons in Battlestar Galactica, are they a reference to KITT?-- rrr, Mar 29 2006 Will it drive my trousers over to me if I have parked them around the corner?-- wagster, Mar 29 2006 [rrr], Battlestar Galactica came out *way* before Knight-Rider (well at least 4 years anyway -> 1978 vs 1982) I expect they probably hired one of the left-over special effects guys.
KITT had a calm, reasoned voice (most of the time) because he was a computer/car. HAL had a calm reasoned voice because he/it was a psychotic AI, and it made him scaryer that way - kind of like an electronic Hannibal Lecter.-- zen_tom, Mar 29 2006 I don't know if William Daniels, Mr. Feeny, would want his voice coming from how many belt buckles, and you'd forever be saying damnitt KITT I told you my name isn't Michael.-- miggavin, Mar 30 2006 I would buy this, but only if I could push a button to play the theme music.-- shapu, Mar 30 2006 random, halfbakery
