Halfbakery has proven itself useful time and time again as a flashlight without full acknowledgment. I always predicted that the reading light and the book would merge into one medium, however it wasn't until reading a book in the dark by the light of the recent page that I thought maybe the televison is the mirror and the candlelight combined, and like the way the reading light that can be read is directed towards the dark page, the mirror light that can be watched is directed towards something in the dark.-- rcarty, Dec 08 2012 so very, very baked http://lmgtfy.com/?q=flashlight+app [Voice, Dec 08 2012] I thought this was going to be a torch that radiated darkth.-- MaxwellBuchanan, Dec 08 2012 I thought this was going to be a flashlight that shined the image of a croissant on the wall...-- blissmiss, Dec 08 2012 //shined// Past tense: shoon-- MaxwellBuchanan, Dec 08 2012 Shoon sounds like something I shouldn't be doing. "You shoon be riding your bicycle in the snow", you know...-- blissmiss, Dec 08 2012 The funny thing about the halfbakery is it's not really inventing things.-- rcarty, Dec 08 2012 Of course not. That would take skill, time and expertise. All I have is a computer with an internet connection.-- DIYMatt, Dec 08 2012 //skill, time and expertise//
Someone who actually wants to invent something.-- rcarty, Dec 08 2012 //a flashlight that shined the image of a croissant on the wall...//
<looks up in the sky, notices a croissant-shaped cloud illuminated against the night sky>
THE BUN SIGNAL ! TO THE HALFBAKERY !-- FlyingToaster, Dec 08 2012 You have a croissant t-shirt? I need one of those to complete my set of t-shirts from obscure websites that require lengthy explanations when worn in public.-- DIYMatt, Dec 08 2012 It's not wild speculation and random synthesis, the window followed by mirrored glass was a major technological factor in the development of photography, photography for film, the electric lighbulb for the cathod ray tube etc.-- rcarty, Dec 10 2012 I want a crossiant bra with 2 large croissants melted together in the middle.-- xandram, Dec 10 2012 [marked-for-ridicule], Bad Pseudoscience, wilful and gratuitous contradiction of the Widely Known To Be Probably Right "Dark Sucker" hypothesis ...-- 8th of 7, Dec 10 2012 I'd subtly ease into the ridicule, followed by casting aspersions through the alienating medium that raises questions about the origin of knowledge through inherent willfulness.-- rcarty, Dec 11 2012 Will it also counterpoint the surrealism of the underlying metaphor ... ?-- 8th of 7, Dec 11 2012 <puts on philosopher's cap> But would the light actually BE, or would it merely suggest cognition by the reader? <removes philosopher's cap>
My cell phone isn't a smartphone. Does this mean I'm not allowed to use it as a flashlight?-- Canuck, Dec 11 2012 //the window followed by mirrored glass was a major technological factor in the development of photography// ...and advancements in photography allowed the design of the first printed circuit boards....-- gnomethang, Dec 11 2012 random, halfbakery
