Webcams are nice, but where's the sound?

There should be a webmic device. Plug a low-noise hi-fi stereo mic pair into it, then connect to it via http to listen whenever you want or to configure the bitrate, password, etc.

This would be a great way to feel connected to the outside world when you're working away in a sealed office with no sounds of birds, breeze, kids playing, traffic, airplanes, dogs, etc.
