i have all ways been facinated by water. by the fish, the plants, the animals, and even the water its self. but any ways. this is my idea, a house made of carbon fiber or fiber glass and it is any shape and color you want it to be. but your asking won't it float and my answer is yes it will unless you fill the base with some kind of heavy material like lead or iron. if you house is a sphere than you can make your rooms square or if you like round rooms you can keep them that way. onr of the questions you maybe asking is how will you get in and out of your house with out filling it with water. well here is my sollution, you have a little room about 8x8 and it is enclosed a door to the body of wter and one to your house. once you and/or your friends are in the room you hit a button and the water drains back to the body of water. then you take off your scuba gear and party. but your asking how will you get to your house from the surface well dont fret you will have a PUWS (personal under water scooter) that can propel you at speeds of up to 15 knots. it doesn't need gas it runs of the water its self but thats another story all to gether. but it is about the size of a computer monetor so it will store easaly in a closet or drower. that is my idea for a house that people can live in under water.

this gentleman has something very similar in mind but he seems to have it much more well thought out... [Drgonzo2, Oct 17 2004]

//but your asking// how do I break up the body of text so others can read it properly? (The answer is, [Enter] twice. Just trying to help.)

Using the words scuba and party in the same sentence leads me to expect a sad ending.....I haunt the diver bulletin boards, and the informal inquests into diver deaths never end.

Awesome - i think. insead of lead for the weight, use crushed cars. At the engineering firm i used to work at, they specified crushed cars for ballast weight on a brand new cable-stayed bridge design. +1

I'm asking if this watery abode has room for a dictionary in it anywhere.

I'm envisioning a garage with submarines that fills and drains. + For the idea.
