Baking soda powder and vinegar separated in a small device. easily crush it and throw into the fire.

       Very Baked & WKTE, over a century ago. Identical devices, glass spheres, were sold during WW1 as "Anti-fire grenades" for protection against Zeppelin-dropped incendiaries.
