Most microwave ovens have a feature that after the oven stops, a short "beep" will be sounded, ostensibly to alert the user that the food is still in the oven. It then beeps about once a minute, reminding one to remove the food. But there's no indication about how long the food has remained in the
u-wave after the cooking stops.
This feature would display a count-up timer of minutes/seconds since the cooking concluded, for those foods that require a cool-down or refractory period. Canceled when food is removed.
