There is a lot near me that gets tires
dumped in it. If there was an integrated ID, e.g. imbedded microdots , DNA strands or metal flakes with id numbers, that could not be removed the tire could be traced back to the dumper or at least the last owner who can then tell the police who they left the tire
with when they bought new tires.

I would have thought that the cost of freezing a tire down to the temperature where it could be smashed apart has got to be prohibitive |
