This would be an overlay for youtube that gives you the option to fully load a video and then watch it in super interactive slo mo.

A weighted knob for really precise control of speed/direction of the video could be bought at the store.

Could be used for scientific research like behavior analysis. Sort of like the halfbakery.

       I just bought a cheap ($320) digital camera with HD resolution vs. high speed (1000 fps) acquisition. The tradeoff is relatively linear - the resolution decreases to 224x168 at 480 fps where I plan to use it.   

       I believe there are tools one can use to download u tube vids, then watch them at any speed you choose.   

       (Btw, I think most 30fps movies of moving objects don't look very good at slower rates - lots of blurring.)

       It could help with buffering problems, but surely all it can do is lower the frame rate?

       //lots of blurring// Even a cheap camera probably has a setting for a shutter, which will remove most of the blurring. However, you still might need to deinterlace, afterwards.
