Anytime I am caught eating cereal after 10AM I am sure to illicit a few comments ridiculing my snacking. I thought of a sure way to fend off my angry onlookers and the perfect excuse to keep my self-contained snacking alive. Pungent cerels: lunch cereal, dinner cereal. Possible flavors: Curry bits, BBQ squares, cheesy oats, nacho flakes. The replacement for the milk could be a gravy of sorts???

       curry bits are enticing...

I have some of this now, it's called Chex mix.

Since you like the taste of your cereal just fine, and are concerned abut the reactions of onlookers, maybe a cereal that merely *looks* as if it were savory would be an easier solution. Color the milk brown, shape marshmallows like little bits of blue cheese, ... on rethinking, ick, let's not.

I've always had a morbid curiosity w/r/t meat based gruel.

so, the thing you like about breakfast cereal is crunchy bits in liquid? or crunchy bits in cold liquid?

What's the difference between this and dry cat biscuits?

How do you know [vitobiz] doesn't already have a healthy coat and a wet nose? On the internet no one knows you're a dog.

I like snacking on cereal and I mix in nuts, raisins, etc. like a trail mix. Pungent and savory sounds yummy, though it is akin to Chex Mix, here's a savory bun. +
Welcome to the halfbakery, where we know cereal isn't only for breakfast!

Replacing milk with gravy sounds gross to me. However, coffee or tea could really hit the spot with bacon and egg flakes.

One these days when I'm really bored, I'll try this with a bag of cheese-its.

// Color the milk brown //

There's already brown milk, and it goes well with cereal (IMO). But it's likely to elicit even more unwanted comments, even if it's plain-tasting.
