This is a game where you play as a penetration tester hacker, and somehow have to infiltrate a place to check its security against hackers.

Oh and plus it is a 'high tech facility'

Lets just say that while you do you job at this place, things get a little weird slowly. e.g. computers acting up...

later on, the game initially just an ordinary 'hacker game' becomes a 'hack+survive', as you try to fend off biological/robot/lovecraft monsters... etc...

example? use computer system to distract other monsters... etc...

Sounds like my favorite episode of MacGyver. "Season Two: The Human Factor"

Please explain how all of this comes from scribbling a recalcitrant biro on a piece of scrap paper?

I think any game can be improved with a scheduled infusion of biological/robot/lovecraft monsters.
