A burka that has bright lights and video cameras inside it
feeding directly to lightweight LED screens on the outside.

I see no problems with this idea whatsoever, and I stand
fullsquare behind you in bringing this to fruition. |
Would it not be simpler to make it out of clear pvc sheeting? |
I see a lot of red tape this idea sidesteps that clear
sheeting would not. |
In the same legalistic spirit as a sheitel. |

Less red tape, perhaps. But, the equipment
required for this idea deserves a comment. "Bright
lights and video cameras...LED screens on the
outside." A rather cumbersome form of
exhibitionism (can't think of any other reason a
woman would wear this), I should think. While the
view on the video screens may or may not appeal
to some (11-to-1 vote FOR, at this writing), the
whole view (woman-with-apparatus), doesn't do
much for me. Sounds like a walking-peep-show-tent. I'm
changing my vote. [ ] |

I wonder if this would cause riots too? |

The peek-a-boo burka? Peek-a-burka? |
I'll run it by marketing. |

So, this is why the French want to ban the burkha? |
All the electronics make it too simple. Do it with mirrors, periscope-style. |
Question - in the unlikely event of any of your remains being found, do you want internment or cremation ? |

In its present version, I think you'll have to drag or
tow it by marketing. Sounds too cumbersome to run. |

This beats pasting mirrors to your shoes. Bun [+] |

The wearer of the burka is not necessarily nude
underneath. This could just be a way to display
street clothes where not otherwise permitted. |

If you're feeling adventurous, you could broadcast
someone else's body instead of your own. |
Or, if you are a particularly ugly Moslem man, pictures of your own body. That would attract some attention. |
//you could broadcast someone else's body instead of your own// If you broadcast your own body, but back-to-front, and if there were several of you, some very odd-looking dancing would thereby be facilitated. |

For example, consider the cha-cha-cha. |

I live in an area with a large Muslim population. There's a certain variety of figure hugging lycra-infused burqua popular amongst the younger set, that although adhering to the letter of sharia law, leaves remarkably little to the imagination. I thoroughly endorse this, of course. |
