The antibiotic resistant microbes battle to the death with other microbes in televised encounters in petri-dishes. A jokey, tongue- in- cheek commentator narrates, fills in during occasional lulls in the action. Meanwhile new antibiotics evolve. Hopefully

       Well, there are all kinds of interesting dynamics between bacterial colonies. But to follow them, you'd really want to be point-sampling and sequencing to see which bugs had recently evolved a better resistance gene, or how their quorum sensing apparatus* has adapted.   

       (*no, I didn't make that up.)
