You might have read about a security application where they
discern people out of a crowd and image them in real time.
China is testing it.
You could have a camera above the lunchroom door that
images kids and figures out their health. PE would be ok too.
The theory is that they they get
referrals to the nurse.

Several years ago, I read of infrared cameras (not sure if NIR
or thermal, but I think the former) being tested in an airport
security setting for monitoring people's pulse, body
temperature (via vasodilation?), etc. for detecting people
trying to hide something, as well as sick people. Sounds
good to me. |
