Is there something you guys aren't telling me? Did someone else leave? |
I don't think so [bliss], I think [pash] is just suggesting adding a link to those on the left, perhaps in the meta list of links, would that be right [pashute]? |
If I had to guess, it's "this subcategory was hard to find for me, so I'm taking it upon myself to post a link to it cleverly disguised as an idea, so that the next time I'm staring at Halfbakery: Remembrance looking for a particular user's entry, I'll notice the LTICDAAI, and, for the low, low price of abusing someone else's database as my particular hot list, get there easily." |
I mean, it's not a bad idea to list the subcategories ahead of the entries in the category menu. File system user interfaces do that almost everywhere; I don't know why I didn't. |

Is it because you want to leave us opportunities to help out? |
You could roll with that. Nobody would mind. |

I think this is more about giving the nearby subcategories more visibility. The complete subcategory list for the major category an idea is in (e.g., "Halfbakery" for this one) is already one click away, from (a) the category bar at the bottom of each idea and (b) the major category name at the top of the sibling idea list. |

You do know how much exertion "one click away" takes around here though, jutta, right? |
