karaoke confusion

faux beer bottle microphone

Whenever someone is singing, everyone seems to look around o see who's performing.

In a traditional karaoke bar, the staff hand out chordless mics to the performers, who then sing from their table and read the lyrics off one of the screens in the room or projector screen.

The idea here is to create a fake beer bottle with a microphone embedded in the neck.

On a crowded night it would take you forever to pick out the singer from a room full of people who all appear to be doing the same thing.

This would be good for amateurs, who could perform barely noticed, and would be a good laugh seeing people look around, watching for telltell signs. Also would be fun pretending to be the guy singing.

oh the confusion....

       //chordless mics // (sp. cordless)

       I think this is a better idea. Mics that don't reproduce chords would create a whole lot more confusion.

       Thankfully, I have never been to a Karaoke bar myself, but this is a great idea. + (maybe now I will try one)
