Personally, I just keep my tasting spoon in a jug of cold water. There are possibilities here, though, but I don't think you're thinking big enough. I'd prefer some modification to the actual spoon; perhaps a Peltier device embedded in the bowl? |

How about a double ended spoon with a highly miniturised heat pump in the handle. One end is a tasting spoon (or swizzle stick) the other a heated ice cream scoop (or branding iron). (adapt to taste) |
