Fog lights are annoying if it's not foggy. I bet people would
remember to turn them off if having them on limited their vehicle's
top speed, say to 45mph. This speed limit would enhance safety in
fog, and should be high enough not to deter people from putting
their lights on.

I can see this being enforced about as often as my state's
'wipers-on, headlights-on' law, which is to say never. |

I drive with my fog lights on all the time. Watcha gonna do about it? Safety FTW! |
|

//I can see this being enforced as often as...// I
read the idea as being for an automated speed
limiter (fog lights on - speed limiter is activated). If
so, it's not a bad idea, but it would shirley encourage
drivers just to not use their fog lights, even in fog. |

I also read the title and assumed this was some
method for limiting the speed of light in fog. |

I like it, apart from the 'people wouldn't use the fog lghts' issue. |

[Max], I re-read it, and upon said second reading, I too
read it as you did, which undoubtedly is how the idea was
intended to be read. I sincerely apologize to all who were
offended by my hasty, ignorant comments. |

I still don't think it's a good idea, but at least I understand
it now. |
