Really? Any details? Alternate endings are common, but I have yet to see equal random general releases of them. |

Suicide Kings has a couple, I think. |

Back on the east coast, one of the Sony Megaplexes had a theater where each seat was equiped with a three button console. At certain points during the film an indicator would show on the screen with a question and voting options. You then pressed the button of the option you wanted to see. Majority rule, you could see the votes tally as the buttons were pressed and you could vote as many times as you wanted. Anyway, the plot of the movie would then head in the direction the audience voted for. It was neat, but they charged a heafty fee for the movie (I got in because a friend of mine was installing some equipment there). The films were, obviously, made for just this sort of thing and were therefore not very entertaining in and of themselves. The whole expirience lasts for about 20 minutes. |

If you include records (you know, those things that are like CD's but bigger) Montey Python did this a long time ago. They had two or more tracks cut into the record and it was almost impossible to tell which one you put the needle on. The content on each track was a little different. |

What are you gonna do for sequels? Create a few entire movies as options, depending on which ending you saw in the original? |

MissBliss: The purpose of this site is to share ideas, thoughts, and opinions with all of the lovely people who may happen to wander by, no? I don't care if I'm replying to old stale halfbakery. And I don't care if you think I'm talking to myself - it's public self-talk. You replied, didn't you? |

If you like this idea, feel free to answer my questions as if they were directed toward you. If you're not here reading this, well, the questions are still open to anyone who cares. |

I used to get a bit irritated at "churning" until I independently came to XSX's conclusion. I now realise how many of the old school bakers actually do it - Mighty_cheese does a bit of it, as well as our own po. Aristotle does it a bit, too... the list goes on... you are not alone, XSX. |

Thank you, thank you, yamahito. |

blissmiss, thanks for the welcome. I feel at home at the 'bakery. Now, if only I can manage to remember all those fantastic ideas I've been entertaining and annoying my friends with for the last few years. Stay tuned... |

Do not be afraid to admit that you churn! Everyone churns whether they admit it or not It will not make you go blind, it is not 'dirty' |

It's a form of self love. |

[XS] try, to quote a friend "hitting the random button" - it can be quite revealing - no pun intended. |

The original release of "Clue" did this. |

A lot of DVDs have alternate endings to watch.
The movie Joy Ride has at least 4 different endings to watch. I suppose this isn't the same as actually watching the different versions in the theater though. |
