Normally when a player enters or leave the pitch the game has to stop so the referee can record their details but if a chip was to be invented that held each player's details and their were sensors on the sidelines then each player's activities could be stored with ease. This could also be adapted to
store info on bookings and fouls the player had commited which would greatly decrease the time spent on referee's admin. The chips could be easily attached to the bottom of each player's jersey and removed between games.
Another bad chip idea

Um, what game are we talking about? |

eliminate all substitutions in all games altogether. less players on each side must make for a more interesting game especially losing a goalkeeper in soccer. |
|
|
But if there were no substitutions then the game would become to random and would lose the point |
