This musical instrument consists of a
loosely-strung electric harp over a size-
changable resonating chamber. The
system could be turned up and distorted
just to the point where the strings would
be just barely vibrating so that there was
an all-tones wash of sound at a really low
level,
and then when you changed the size
of the resonating chamber you could coax
different harmonies out of the strings --
because all the harmonics of the strings
would resonate in response to the length/
size of the resonating chamber. Calibrate
the chamber to get repeatable phrases/
serieses-of-harmonies.

Not a bad idea, but I can't help but think somebody else has already thought of this. Next time you go to the concert hall, keep an eye out for a harp plugged into an amp. |

Resonating chamber - like on a dobro?
I've got a dobro - the resonator's size is fixed.
How does this resonator's size change? |

You could have a moving back on it
maybe. Maybe it is a really long
chamber like the body of a slide whistle. |
