Baked, sort of, on "The Beverly Hillbillies" (a 1960s U.S. sitcom). Upon the Clampett's introduction to the billiard table, they commenced to speculate as to what type of animal a "billiard" was, and how it would taste when it was served on the table. They reckoned the cue sticks were pot-passers. The white sphere was figgered to be a billiard egg. |
