I have a problem with these so-called " valued customer " cards that every food store makes us carry nowadays if we don't want to clip coupons. My paranoid mind tells me that I'm being tracked. I propose an actually useful application for them- a linked database that can be checked at the market in the case of a forgotten shopping list. Did I need canned tomatoes? No,see, I bought 6 cans two weeks ago. We could even include the ability to upload all our inventory and delete it as it gets used to keep a running tally- sure to appeal to organizing freaks. This database will be able to tell when things that aren't regular purchases are getting low by frequency of purchase- like dried spices.
