I dont know about you but I have yet to find the perfect method for displaying christmas cards.
they take up every inch of shelf space, top of the telly, the mantelpiece which is crammed to bursting anyway, table top, fridge etc. & one little gust of wind or a playful dog or inquisitive cat and
they all come tumbling down.
I was toying with the idea of a card that will not stand up at all as a practical joke. it would have a cylindrical type base and would keep falling over but I digress
anyway these crash, bang, wallop cards come with a length of string attached to a small explosive device rather like a party popper. when you open the card (take care its the right way up), pull the string and bang! the card is rocketed up to the ceiling where it attaches itself by a nail or a drawing pin or a suction cup whatever!
as each card arrives, you and yours have festive fun and games sending them randomly to the ceiling where they can be appreciated without any of the usual hassle.
gotta go, the postman is knocking.

OH! [po] thank you for the Christmas card!! It's loverly. And it gets blown off the hifi ever time I open a window. : ) |

I could use a ceiling pin. |

(BTW, I've made several illegal entries and had five servings of custard since we last talked. *sniff* Thank you.) |
I wondered what you were talking about for a minute - happy christmas to you! |
particularly recommended for fresh air freaks who keep their windows open in the winter. |

Dont stand under the chandelier. |

'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through pos cosy, warm house Not a creature was stirring, just Eric snoring and the cats purring, dreaming of a mouse... |

Much better than just tossing them into the rubbish bin. + |
I always stick mine on all the doors in the house with sticky tape for the same gusty or feline reasons but + for a new solution. |
Christmas-card fireworks! Noooo! If you cut out the bang I'd give you an exploding ceiling-bun. |
Funny most Kats hate bangs but this one is a hard Tom. |
Hey Po, how do you get them down in the new Year? |
<sigh> get up a ladder but it was fun though. |
You're missing the obvious solution! Have a second charge with a timer set for new year's. |
3...2...1....
<bang/><wallop><crash/></wallop><pop/> |
<bang/> (that one's timer was a bit off) |
