This may already be baked, but wouldn't it be great to have small whiteboards that attached to the sides of your computer screen? There would be markers that were attached via a string to the whiteboard. On the end of the pen would be what we call in the film industry, a mouse- a little puffy cloth to wipe off whatever you wrote. The whiteboards could also have hinges so that you could push them against the sides of the screen if they got annoying.

Er, methinks if one wanted to remember something one could simply type it on the computer screen. Or Post-It it to the computer. Or write it on a nearby wall-mounted whiteboard.

Sorta-baked...My asshole of a stepdad had a hinged plastic clip on top of his computer monitor about 10 years ago. It was for holding paper, but it shouldn't be too hard to put a whiteboard on a similar device.
