Like the bottom part of [[this]] collapsible bottle.

So it covers the sides and prevents it from dripping until your'e finished with that level, and you can always pull up one of the sides (lopsided) so that you safely bite from the exposed ice cream but can bring back the cone (if you haven't eaten it) for protecting the other side.

So... not made from the usual brittle waffle-like stuff? Not sure what you mean by "folding doors" either?
neutrinos_shadow, Nov 17 2020

Made from bendy, bioplasticky edible fruit-leathery-type gel sheet made out of corn, soy, tree trunks, octopus parts or whathaveyou, possibly reusable.

I like. Well, really love it. Good one pashutie.

A "cone" made more on the principle of a "lipstick" container would be good, but using entirely edible components.

There would need to be an outer casing, and an inner carrier cylinder - maybe more of an inverted frustum - where user action causes the inner portion to rise as the ice-cream is consumed, but the outer part contains drips, insulates the contents, and provides a secure grip.

       Mmm octopus parts...

Maybe dispense with the cone and icecream parts and just serve sautéed octopus?

"Octopus flavoured ice cream" returns a lot of search results, mostly from Japan. Who knew, huh ?

+Great idea but What is the cone made of to make It withstand collapsing and opening again?

//What is the cone made of to make It withstand collapsing and opening again?//

Hmm... A new market for mohels to explore?

Make it out of the same stuff those stores that are perpetually having 'Going Out of Business' sales every other month are made from?

Maybe an interior of gelatin in a flattened roll, like a 'Fruit by the Foot,' to give some resistance to sogginess, and an exterior of a sugar or cake cone?

Maybe double-glaze the cake cone with a thin layer of gelatin on either side to give some durability even when the cone becomes cracked.

What about a sugar coating covered by a very thin layer of an edible wax-like substance ? Beeswax ? Honey-sugar flavoured coating with beeswax on top ?

Comb honey, containing unprocessed beeswax, is perfectly palatable and edible to the majority of consumers.

The wax would prevent moisture penetration to the substrate for long enough for the entire product to be consumed.

Some cones gain durability by their "high-baked", dense, crispy nature, and take a relatively long time to go soggy.

Finally a discussion about the idea, and not a link to some series or movie that I missed all these years and learn about on HB. (Which is the material that most of the discussions on my ideas is made of).

       Octopus - not kosher. Sorry.

[Neutrino's's] squeeze tubes... remind me of the Yeshiva dorm I was in at 14. We were given twice a week anchovy paste in squeeze tubes.

They were never opened and I wondered what they were for. A few years after graduation my class met and I asked who ate the anchovy paste and why was it repeatedly served.

Seriously? You don't know? Remember the large hanging ceiling fans in the giant lunch hall? We put the anchovy paste on a plate aiming the squeese tube upwards, and gave a punch. A short piece of anchovy paste would shoot out at the fan, and we would watch it turn rapidly until released randomely in some direction. Didn't you notice the gleeful shouting once every few minutes when we scored a hit on the other classes?

I said that I thought that was what the margarine block projectiles and the small spoons used as catapults were for.

Ah yes, no fins or scales ...

A large amount of ice cream in an edible bowl, where the bottom drops out and you leave with a doggie cone.

Nice, to consume a symbolical model of all the phases of the universe. Different ice creams are needed, though. Jelly/cherry on the bottom?
