The idea is to mint new coins that have a small hole in the
centre to receive a spindle, and have their outside edge
reformed as the teeth of a cog wheel.
Naturally the range of coins available would have to multiply,
to enable each denomination to have different dimensions and
teeth characteristics.
This will increase their variety of uses.
One side of the coin would present the customary currency
information, whilst the other would be reserved for its
engineering and size characteristics i.e. number and pitch of
teeth; radius; forms a connecting match with...
Uses: encourages children (and adults) to save and have a
renewed interest in making simple machines.

I though "to obverse" was the term used to describe
making someone nervous by watching them backing a car
into a tight space. Thanks for new word and croissant -
making me hungry for breakfast. |

You can make a clock with these here coins. It will break down, but then you could repair it. Eh, [xenxag]? |

Maybe you could print blueprints for simple gear-based

Gear teeth push, not pull. The leading face of the driving tooth presses against the trailing face of the driven tooth. |
