I've just found the dataviz slideshow to go package, and think it is wonderful. I can edit charts (to some degree), and add speaker notes from my hand held.
The only snag comes when I'm presenting, and I have to page through the slides on the Palm to see the notes, as well as paging through the
slides on my laptop (which is connected to the projector).
What I need is something like Slideshow to Go, with the adding the ability to control the Next Slide & Previous Slide buttons on the laptop from the 5-way jog dial on the Palm Tungsten T via Bluetooth. That way I could step through the notes on my Palm, while the PC was stepping through the presentation....
It would need some software on the PC to connect to the virtual bluetooth serial port (created by my bluetooth USB key), but I wouldn't have thought it'd be brain surgery...

Very cunning solution actually allows you to drive the slide projector from the PDA... but no - that is overkill for me. I specifically don't want my PDA tied by cable through the SD port to a projector. [andybryant, Oct 04 2004]

Do you happen to have first hand experience with the Margi product? I've wanted one of those, but I'm afraid it may not handle things such as sphisticated animation effects, slide transitions, and buttons. |

I don't think you want to do all this. Not really - It will not help your presentation.
Use a wireless radio mouse with your laptop - they have a range of a couple of metres. This will suffice to step through your presentation. Don't use a PDA for notes, use flash cards if you have to use anything. But thats just my pennies worth. |

My presentations on a wireless-lan driven laptop through a remote video projector don't yet have enough failure points and most times I get through without a major embarrassment. |
