I'm always on a quest for soap I like. I buy bars randomly, then try them out. When I find one I like, I would like to buy 10 more...but all I have is a sliver of soap. How do I remember which soap it was? Solution: inside the middle of the bar, there is a bit of plastic with the name and brand of the soap printed on it. Voila! I can reorder my favorites!

this soap comes with its own little "badge"... http://www.dooyoo.c...ther_foamburst_gel/
...the badge is a little pad on which it sits to reduce the squidgyyuk effect - it probably has the name of the soap on it. nice soap BTW [po, Oct 04 2004, last modified Oct 06 2004]

It grew fur, was animal shaped and had a toy buried inside. http://www.feelingr.../view_toy.cfm?id=31

       wash more often?
krelnik, Jan 11 2003

Or make soap like rock (candy), with the brand name running through bar.
dalek, Jan 11 2003

insert sharp knife into side of soap. insert a small piece of cardboard on which you have written the name of the soap or even a piece of its wrapper. wash hands with soap - soap will close around the cut. bingo - DIY - your idea is baked.

nice idea though. is it your first? welcome.

po, great comments, thanks. 1st post was "weak laser lawnmower", which is underappreciated despite being highly derivative.

amos' hairy soap link was, well. stunning, yes, but not quite mainstream enough.

I didn't quite get dalek's comment. How could I read it once the soap was used?

save the package? supergenius! Wash more often? ultrafunny! Thanks guys!!

Yup - nice one. You could even have soap for children with little plastic toys inside - the attraction of a slippery trinket might make them want to wash more often.

If you follow po's advice above, remember to remove knife before washing hands.

[lostdog] That idea is already baked, or used to be. I remember getting given soap with a little plastic dinosaur in the middle... of course I just used to use a knife to carve it open and steal the dinosaur :p
