I propose a modification to the common, everyday mobile/cellular telephone so that the caller only receives a ringing tone when the telephone is switched off, engaged, or otherwise unavailable. When the phone is on, then the caller goes straight to voicemail. That way you can only receive the call when
you're not there.
Props to Joseph Heller, whose character 'Major Major' in Catch-22 has been an great inspiration to me...

My wife would love this, but it would need one additional feature: Selective modes depending on caller id info. So if the kids or I call, we get right through... everyone else goes to voice mail before or after rings. |
