When you open the loaf needed to make Zombie Toast you won't see anything different about the slices of bread. It's only after toasting that the Zombie feature emerges in the form of the image of a grinning skull placed in the centre of the slices of bread.
Here's how it works:
Zombie Toast
doesn't require any kind of special device, as the image is already embedded in the bread. This is because a unique mix of dough is placed along the middle axis of the bread, similar to the method used in the construction of a stick of rock. This mix contains thermochromatic pigments, that only change colour on the second application of heat following a cooling off period after the bread has been baked in an oven.
This mix is then surrounded by ordinary bread dough. What makes this mix unique is that when it's baked, it cannot be distinguished from the surrounding bread material. It's only when subject to toasting (the second application of heat) that the image of the skull segment appears.
Zombie Toast can be enhanced with the judicious application of butter and jam, honey, marmite or even guacamole. Served up just in time for Halloween.
Or print the skull image with an addressable-pixel toaster

I suppose Jesus Toast will follow, then? |

Those are all special toasters, of which I am well
aware. I'm proposing special bread that will work
in any toaster. |

Is that where everyone round the table stands up, takes their glass in their left hand, raises their right arm in the fascist salute, clicks their heels together, and declaims " Heil der Führer ! ", drinks, then smashes the glass in the fireplace ? |

Unknown but it sounds like fun. Who pays for the glasses? |
