Personalising cell phones has become big business; people are prepared to pay for their own ringtone and snap-on cover plates.

The credit card industry is enormous, and there's surprisingly little differentiation between products. Banks could allow customers to submit their own image files (JPG) over the Internet. These would then be used as the design for the customer's credit and debit cards.

What would you put on your card?

Mine would have a photo of me looking incredulous, as in "How much did you say this costs?" or "What do you mean 'insufficient funds'!?"

I really think this is baked.. but I can't for the life of me find out by whom... so, assuming I'm wrong +1.

I'd like that famous photo of Johnny Cash where he's giving the camera the finger and he looks really furious. That would be cool.

Hey, I had a NextCard too - closeup of pick in guitar strings. Many to choose from.
