Another art work proposal that will never
get made...
The idea is that everyone who wants to
participate in making the suit, sends in a
single strand of their own hair to a
central
location. These are washed, gathered and
formed into tresses suitable for rope
weaving, machine knitting,
or in this case
fabric weaving and tailoring.
The size of the suit is determined by the
volume of hair received. Ideally it would
be very large, and would hang like the
side of a house in a suitable venue. All
contributor's names would be published.
It would not require shampoo
sponsorship.
Alternative proposals:
Global Mortal Coil
Hair water fall
Hair snow balls
(note: entire idea formerly published as:
Global Mortal Coil)
Higashi Hongan-ji, Kyoto.

I like this idea. I also think it makes sense to hang it from the ceiling - if no-one can shuffle on it, no-one will shuffle off it! |

+ even a couple of strands |

Thanks [CF]obviously that mouldy rope is
long overdue a makeover.... but must be
given its due. Will re-word idea favouring
suit solution, which was my first thought
anyway. |
