Since I wear actual glasses, I've never had a go on those springy ones which fall out of their frames on slinkies, but I presume they aren't ideal for seeing through. However, through the power of fibreoptics, a spray of fibres could cover their "retinæ" and twist into a rope an exact number of times
along the springs until they arrive at the panes or lenses themselves. This would enable the wearer to become extremely nauseous, go cross-eyed and throw up all over the place, so it's a win-win really.
