Got a long essay due with the deadline looming, but just cant seem to find the motivation? Then this may be for you. This otherwise standard text field asks you to input the targeted number of words before you begin. Then as you type, a live updating word count keeps track of the number of words that
youve entered. To the side of this text box however, is a picture of a beautiful model-type person (of pre-selected gender). For every major milestone that you reach (maybe every 10% or so), the picture would change to another one of that person, only wearing slightly fewer clothes, until they are completely naked and you have a complete essay. For those who need a little bit more incentive to get work done.
Of course, to make it profitable thered probably be a special, members only set of models that couldnt be accessed in the free version. It could feature as an online webpage or as a seperate download.

Does this explain why more of the Freudian slips are in the rear of the essay? |
Does it get even more interesting if you go over your preselected word-count? |
<off-topic> How many Freudian analysts does it take to change a lightbulb? Two: one to change the bulb, and the other to hold the peni- uhmm, ladder. </ot> |

I guess this might work for motivating semi-lazy students. The really lazy ones will just tell the program their essay has a word limit of 10 words. |
On second thoughts, [-], as this encourages quantity over quality and it is very much more rewarding to the reader (but hard for the writer) to produce text which is clear, informative and succinct. |

haha + This is similar to an idea that I never posted for a *naked office assistant* to replace that old paper clip guy! |
The very mention of firemen in their underbeneaths (implying that *out* of the underbeneaths is an option) had me bunning before I'd read the idea through. Hurray for naked firemen, I say. + |

A few tweaks, like: The stripping is much better if the essay is 500 words or more, plus: No copying and pasting allowed, plus: Non-words do not count toward your total, plus: duplicates of things you've already written do not count, plus: average characters per word must be > 5 (to prevent "of it a be an it the on we in at" to get a free look :) [+] |

I agree with you [hippo], that quality should prevail. But quality is a seperate issue entirely. Most essay markers will penalise heavily for not making good use of the word limit. |
[imaginality] & [theleopard], Not that I'd know of course, but I'm told there are much simpler ways to find pictures of naked people on the internet. |
[phundug], I really like the no duplicates rule to encourage users not to repeat themselves. I did consider not counting non-words, but figured it would just leave you with a misleading word count at the end. I know that I end up using plenty of words or names that the Word spellchecker disagrees with in my essays. |
And [hippo], with regard to your first annotation, think Robbie Williams in 'Rock DJ'. |

What if you're writing a novel? There had better be something obscenely erotic under those clothes. Maybe a new model per chapter would be more helpful. |
It could provide a true word-count and a credited word-count, and only the credited words contribute towards your "bonus". |
In the movie "Happy Gilmore" they used the same moviation for tutoring: each right answer=one article of clothing; wrong=put one back on. |
So when you go back and edit the essay does the model put their clothes back on? |
What if you borrow someone else's essay to copy? |
[theleopard] If you plagerize you get an unpleasant surprise when the last articles of clothing are removed. |

...Baby, she's a Man....(Austin Powers) |

If you could hire real-time English teachers to read the essay as you write it, they could reward you for making a good point or penalize you for bad grammar (the feedback affects the video model's appearance) |
Some models might have higher difficulty levels, too, as in "Guess what, I almost got Christina's bra off during my English paper yesterday." |
The set of only model members is an interesting adjunct. |
