Animated gifs in web pages which only animate if a webcam is plugged in, and only if they detect that no-one is looking directly at them.

       Truly excellent +

How about other animations that do rude things when no one is looking?

       This is... brilliant.

One problem: can a web browser access your webcam?
MaxwellBuchanan, Jul 16 2014

[MaxwellBuchanan], almost certainly. But not directly; you would have to plug in something like Java or ActiveX, applications that can link a browser to everything in a computer system that the browser's built-in security model forbids accessing. That's why Java and ActiveX are associated with security risks, of course!

This might startle me. Yay. +
