The word "How?" springs to mind at this point.

We Are The Best

Sports Fandom Website

This is a sports fandom website that changes its content, week by week, from supporting one team/player/sport to another, depending upon who is currently considered to be best. The criteria, like the content, change arbitrarily from week to week in order to justify support for the current 'best'. As content & allegiance changes, all previous content is deleted so that no history of wrongness is kept on the site. Go team!

Of course, certain "sports" will be avoided completely, as there is no "best" team of a terrible game, like cricket, there is only the least bad.
RayfordSteele, Jan 16 2022

Well, for this week maybe. But next week we will be writing extensively about how great cricket is & enthusiastically expressing our undying support for the best team (currently not England, sadly).

I see automation is robbing Winston Smith of his job at the memory hole.
pertinax, Jan 16 2022

In the current climate, probably both.

This is a bold move Cotton... let's see if it pays off.

//"sports" will be avoided completely// I could support this!

Use of cookies and internet tracking might be used to tailor the contents to the user, such that whoever they are, the site will reflect that their preferred team, affiliation, geographic location, identity, educational institution etc is definitively the best.

...except I think oddly enough, that this is already baked.

That's not going to fool anyone. Any Cubs / Lions / Spurs fans know exactly how bad they are.
RayfordSteele, Jan 18 2022

Good and bad aren't on the same line. Volunteering at a homeless shelter doesn't make up for my puppy kicking habit. Slapping old ladies for their backtalk doesn't negate studying hard to improve the economy. Or in terms of the words as applied to performance (i.e. good performance or bad performance) showing up late to work doesn't negate being extraordinarily helpful when at work.

It doesn't even do that when the only thing being measured per game is score.

//tailor the contents to the user//

<Steps back in horror> What??! </sbih>

Voice, I'm not sure that I get your point insofar as it relates to the idea. Could you elucidate please?

//Any...Spurs fans//

Are we talking Spurs of the San Antonio kind, or of the Tottenham kind? I know little of the former but, having known a few of them over the years, would certainly agree with you about the latter!

       I was responding to [RayfordSteele] //less bad//

       Ah. Got it. Carry on.
DrBob, Jan 18 2022

I was thinking San Antonio. They seem pretty lousy this season.
RayfordSteele, Jan 19 2022

I generally cheer for the loser, so I wouldn't spend much time on the site unless it's to confirm whom I oppose.

I'll take clicks whatever the motivation!
