Walmart MMORPG

Fully interactive online world where you can make a character and shop in a virtual store. Except when you buy stuff, its for reals. Similarly, stores (not just walmart)can be placed in just about any other mmorpg which would allow people a fun way to browse merchandise instead of just clicking a link.

how about any store EXCEPT for Walmart?

If this is an MMO, then you should be able to battle other customers for their products.

       Walmart Black Friday FPS
lurch, Jun 16 2010

Should involve controlling motorized shopping carts to move around real stores, and grabbing products with robotic arms on the carts. This would be compatible with Lurch's vision by putting weaponry in the robotic arms.

Why not have a Walmart in the lands of World Of Warcraft? Then no one would ever need to leave the house except to go work at Walmart or UPS.

Black Friday FPS would be awesome!

Walmart would have to investigate every single item in their stores - whether apparel, automotive, electronics, pharmacy or dairy goods - to see how it would react to different kinds of weaponry.

This would entail a number of part-time positions for which they could advertise here at the halfbakery...

It is a bit retro now but Second Life does this kind of thing a lot.

I think the problem is lack of fighting and wrecking stuff. You should be able to buy stuff, also steal stuff (and get chased by cops/monsters/cops riding monsters, and invariably get caught and beat down), fight other players with food / fists / sporting goods / adult diapers, set fires, release the hounds, take off your clothes, wreck stuff, and generally have all the fun that it is so hard to have in a real Walmart. Or a real lameass MMORPG I might add!

Bun just for using the term " its for reals."

Like a breath of fresh air. I get a tummy ache when people try to sound like Shakespeare when they write.

Besides, I bet if he were alive today he'd spend his time watching All Star Wrestling and surfing internet porn. Maybe opening and closing the freezer going "Amazingith, thou dothest freeze thine waffles?"

       Anyway, pretty cool idea.

Bone to nullify [doctorremulac]'s bun for using the term "its for reals."
swimswim, Jun 17 2010

Poor grammar, plus sentences that are not sentences, combined with an "its" which should be an "it's"!! = punitive bone.
xenzag, Jun 17 2010

Sorry P, I shouldn't have pointed out your little colloquialism. Brought the wrath down on ya. (you)

       Still, good idea though

IT IS!! I mean It's!! for realz this time. I'm super serial you guys. Thanks for the support Doc. Thanks for the fix Xen. Kinda like Where's Waldo. How about a Where's Waldo spell checker that doesn't fix problems, but generates a Waldo icon over one of the errors and turns the rest of the text into a crowd.
pppporkins, Jun 17 2010

bun to nullify grammar-punitives + bone for baked = neutral

Zombies are usually added to computer games with supermarkets.
